How to Change a Tyre with an Air Jack

Step 1: Park Safely and Prepare

Turn off the engine, apply the handbrake, place wheel chocks on the opposite wheel.

Step 2: Loosen the Wheel Nuts

Slightly loosen the wheel nuts before lifting the vehicle.

Step 3: Get ready to Jack-it

Align the lift cap of the Selson Air Jack with the jacking point on the vehicle.

Step 4: Connect to Air Supply

Attach the air hose from your compressor to the jack’s air inlet. Press and hold the green button to inflate. A Selson Air Jack will expand and lift the vehicle in seconds!

Step 5: Jack-it Safely

Remember to always use vehicle when lifting a vehicle. A jack is only a lifting device!

Step 6: Remove Wheel Nuts and Tyre

Fully remove the loosened wheel nuts and pull off the old tyre.

Step 7: Mount the New Tyre

Align the wheel studs and slide the new tyre onto the hub. Hand-tighten the wheel nuts in a crisscross pattern to seat the wheel evenly.

Step 8: Lower the Vehicle

Remove the vehicle stand and press the red button to slowly release the air and deflate the jack.

Step 9: Torque the Wheel Nuts

Use a torque wrench to tighten each wheel nut to your vehicle’s recommended torque spec.

Step 10: Hit the Road, Jack!

You’ve successfully performed a tyre change with an air jack! Now it’s time to get back on the road.
